VaultIQ User Roles
VaultIQ uses four roles to give every member of your organisation the right level of access. Admins control which Vaults each person can see — keeping sensitive knowledge spaces private to the right team.
Admin
The top-level operator of the VaultIQ account. Full access to everything.
- Create, manage, and delete Vaults
- Invite users and assign roles
- Control which Vaults are visible to each user
- Access all settings, billing, and usage reports
Vault Admin
A technical operator who manages Vaults and handles content ingestion across the organisation.
- Create and manage Vaults
- Install VaultIQ Agent on any machine in the organisation
- Create DataSets from any local, NAS, or cloud source
- Assign DataSets to one or more Vaults
Vault Contributor
A knowledge builder who manages their own content and contributes it to Vaults.
- Install VaultIQ Agent on their own machine
- Create DataSets from their own local or cloud sources
- Assign DataSets to one or more Vaults
- Chat within Vaults they are assigned to
Vault Viewer
An everyday user who queries Vaults through the chat interface.
- Access the chat UI and ask questions in natural language
- Query only the Vaults an Admin has assigned to them
- Cannot install agents, create DataSets, or manage Vaults
